Troy, NY – A pair of Vassar College Men's Tennis standouts have been named All-Liberty League it was announced Monday morning. The Brewers' top doubles pair of
Fernando Bauermeister (Winter Park, FL) and
Eugene Lee (Chico, CA) has been named First Year All-Liberty League, while each also earned Second Team All-Conference recognition in singles play.
Bauermeister, who was named the 2023 Liberty League Rookie of the Year, collects All-Conference recognition for the third straight season. Bauermeister earns Second Team honors in 2025 after posting a 9-8 record playing at the top singles flight all season, including a 3-3 mark against Liberty League opponents. Bauermeister was named the Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week on March 17.
Lee earns singles All-Conference recognition for the first time in his career with Monday's citation. Lee put together a strong sophomore campaign for the Brewers that saw him go 10-7 in singles play, including an 8-5 mark at the second slot and a 4-2 mark in league play. Lee went 7-3 in his last 10 singles decisions and won six of the final seven decisions of the season, finishing fourth in second singles winning percentage in the conference. Lee was tabbed the Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week on April 21.
Playing at the top doubles flight in 2024-25, Bauermeister and Lee posted an 8-5 record and finished the season with seven wins in their last 10 decisions. The duo closed the year with four wins in the last five decisions, including a 6-2 victory over #9 RPI's top pair in the regular season finale. 2025 marks the second straight season Bauermeister and Lee have been named All-League, following a Second Team selection a season ago.
Vassar concluded the 2024-25 season with a 9-11 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Liberty League play.
