2013-14:
XC: The sophomore harrier finished her second season on the cross country trail, running in seven races for the Vassar women's squad...posted her best individual finishe at the Late Season Vassar Invite Nov. 8, as she ran a 20:30 to finish 10th and fourth among VC competitors...started the season with a 23:27.01 at the Marist Invite...improved her 5k time over two minutes at the Vassar Invite Sept. 7, taking home 44th with a time of 21:09.10...had arguably her best run of the season at the Liberty League Championships, finishing 46th with a time of 25:04 over the 6k trek.
Track: Ran 5:23.48 in the 1500m at the Willie Williams Classic...ran a 1500m personal best time of 5:19.80 at the Ramapo Invite...ran a 3000m personal best time of 11:12.51 at the RPI Upstate Classic...placed seventh in the 5000m at the Liberty League Championships with a personal best time of 19:27.89...chalked up a 19:51.51 at the Matthew Vassar Twilight meet in the 5000 meters. 

2012-13:
XC: Had a solid first season with the Brewers, as she competed in five races on the season...posted her first collegiate time at the Vassar Invite Sep. 8, running a 22:06 over a 5k course, placing 55th...had one of her better performances a month later at the Saratoga Invite, as she registered a 20:19, taking home 89th place...posted her personal best in a 5k race at the Seven Sisters race Oct. 13, as she rank a 20:13 for 43rd place...tackled her first 6k course at the Liberty League Championships Oct. 27, as she rank a 24:56 for 51st place...last meet of the season came at the Late Season Vassar Invite, as she was the seventh VC finisher with a time of 20:47 over the 5k trek.
Track: Was an effective distance runner for the Brewer track squad...ran mostly 1,500 for Vassar...ran a 5:24.99 in the 1,500 at the Monmouth Season Opener...bested her previous top time in the 1,500 by running a 5:24.61 at the Ramapo College Roadrunner Invitational Apr. 5...chalked her PR in the 1,500 by clocking in with a 5:21.89 at the Liberty League Championships...competed in the 3,000 at the Yale Springtime Invitational, running an 11:30.65...competed in a pair of races at the Matthew Vassar Open, registering a 19:30.72 in the 5,000, while helping the 4x400 relay to a third place finish with a 4:30.48.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Competed in three different sports for the Bengals of Edmund Burke School...was a two-year captain of the cross country team...named All-PVAC First Team in 2007, 2008 and 2010...helped lead her squad to the 2009 PVAC XC title...was co-President of her high school...also competed in track and field and swimming at EBS.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Lyra Vega...majoring in politcal science and African studies...chose Vassar College over Haverford College, Bates College, Northeastern University and Lewis and Clark College.
