Biography
2017-18: The junior freestyle standout returned from a semester abroad to make an impact in the spring...finished with a season-best time in the 100 free at the Liberty League Championships, swimming a 53.96 to take ninth after winning the consolation final...won the VC Sprint Invite in the 100 free with a 55.94...swam three times in the 200 free this season, winning twice against Mount Holyoke and Trinity along with at the Seven Sisters Championships with a 1:57.30...bested her previous season-best with a 1:56.87 at the Liberty League Championships to take sixth overall...won three of her four races in the 500 free this year, swimming a season-best time of 5:14.59 at the Seven Sisters Championships.
2016-17: had a strong season, winning ten races throughout the course...won every event entered in the dual meets against Bard, Skidmore, and RPI...won the 200 Free (1:58.57) and 500 Free (5:18.14) while earning third in the 100 Free (56.89) at the USMMA Memorial Invitational...won the 1650 Free (17:37.79), came in second for the 200 Free (1:54.11), and third in the 500 Free (5:09.79) at the Liberty League Championships...named to Liberty League All-Academic Team.
2015-16: Swam a personal best in the 1650 Free (17:36.84) at UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships...swam a personal best in the 200 IM (2:15.38) agaisnt Hamilton and RIT...swam a season best in the 100 free (54.10) at UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships to earn sixth place...swam a season best 1:54.66) at UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships...
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered all 4 years...served as co-captain senior year...voted MVP freshman and senior year... received all-conference honors all 4 years, all-regional honors sophomore, junior and senior year, and all-state honors senior year.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Mary & Brad Stone...has one sibling: Bradley (16)...plans to major in biochemistry... chose Vassar College for “the amazing liberal arts education”…picked Vassar over University of Chicago, Tufts University, Hamilton College, Washington and Lee University, and Wesleyan University.
