2016-2017:
XC: Ended her VCXC career on a high note, taking a spot in the top four for VC in every race run...took second for VC in the first 5k of the season, running 20:05.1 at the Ron Stonitsch Invite, her best time ever on the Vassar home course...just missed her personal record from 2014 at the Saratoga Invite, placing 22nd overall as she crossed the finish line in 18:53.0...improved upon her personal best 6k time at the Seven Sisters Championship, running a 23:17.8 to earn her a spot on the All Seven Sisters second team...ran strong at the Liberty League Champions to take second for VC, aiding Vassar to a fourth place finish...ended her senior season ideally, posting a personal best time of 22:39.3 to finally break the 23 minute barrier.
2015-2016
XC: MacDonald began her season with a 21:17 at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational, placing 47th overall...broke the 20 minute barrier at the Saratoga Invitational, clocking 19:58...her season PR came at the Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational where she ran 25:06...she ended with her strongest performace of the season, running 3rd for the Brewers at the ECAC Division III Championships.
2014-15:
Track: Rolled over from a solid cross country campaign to compete in five events in the spring as a distance runner...opened the season with an 11:09.32 in the 3k event at the Monmouth Season Opener...started to tackle the steeplechase late in the season, running the event for the first time at the Ramapo Roadrunner Invitational, finishing fourth with a time of 12:11.16...a week later improved her steeple time with a 11:59.69, taking sixth place at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College...finished her season at the Liberty League Championships, running a personal-best 11:50.22 in the steeplechase, taking fifth in the event.
XC: Placed fourth for the Brewers at the Marist Invitational...placed third for Vassar and ninth overall at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational...placed fourth for the Brewers at the Saratoga Invitational, running a personal best 5k time of 18:43...placed fourth for Vassar and 14th overall at the Seven Sisters Championship...placed seventh for Vassar at the Liberty League Championship with a time of 23:57...futher cemented her reputation as a clutch performer, delivering a personal best time of 23:26 at the Regional Championship to beat 200 runners and help Vassar place seventh as a team.
2013-14:
XC: Continued to improve in every race for the Brewers...went from being the 11th finisher for Vassar at the start of the season to scoring at the Liberty League Championships...set personal-bests every week she competed...had her best run of the season at the League Championships, as she finished 24th overall and fifth among Brewers with a personal-best of 24:08...ended the season with a 19:54 at the Late Season Vassar Invite, earning sixth overall.
TRACK: Started her first track campaign with the Brewers at the Upstate Track Classic, running the 3000 meters in a time of 10:47.97, placing sixth...took home fifth place in the 5000 meter run at the Liberty League Championships, running a 18:46.70...bested her previous low by a few seconds at the Matthew Vassar Twilight, clocking in at 18:44.38 in the 5k...finished the season at the Albany Last Chance, running a 18:58.67 in the 5000m.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Competed one season for the Bulldogs of Hall-Dale School in cross country and track...moved to Kents Hill School for her final three seasons, running both cross country and track for the Huskies.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Thomas MacDonald and Pamela Bruno MacDonald...has one brother, Owen...majoring in biology...participates in Outing Club at Vassar...father Tom played hockey at Tufts University.
