Biography
2016-17:
Track: Had the twentieth fastest 100m time in the entire Liberty League this season (11.46)…competed in a total of 11 events this season…finished fourth in the 4x100m relay with a time of 45.42 and finished eighth in the 100m with a time of 11.47 at the Silfen Track & Field Invitational…finished second in the 4x100m relay with a seasonal best time of 43.47, finished ninth in the 100m with a best personal collegiate time of 11.46, and ran a best personal collegiate time of 23.00 in the 200m at the Liberty League Championships…ended the season strong placing fourth in the 4x100m relay with a time of 44.23 at the 2017 Yale Springtime Invitational.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a two-sport star for the Dragons of St. George's School in Middletown, Rhode Island...was a key member of the track and soccer teams at SGS, as he earned varsity captain honors in track as a senior...named as the Dragon's Track and Field MVP as a senior...ran a 11.41 in the 100 meters as a senior, also posting a career-best 20'3" in the long jump...finished second at the 2015 New England D-III in the 4x100 relay, while taking third in the 2016 New England D-III in the 100 meters...Graduated with Distinction from St. George's.
PERSONAL: Father Michael Gans is a 1985 graduate of Vassar and played soccer...has two siblings, Jacques (16) and Lawrence (13)...undeclared major.
