Prior to Vassar: Lettered three years in varsity tennis at Wooster High School under coach Stan Burris... ranked 30th in Ohio state rankings... earned Scholar Athlete Award his sophomore, junior, and senior years... named MVP in his junior season... earned the Coach's Award his senior season... team captain his senior year... also played soccer and football for one year... three year writer for the Wooster Blade and two year sports editor and member of the editorial board... also a member of the drama and science clubs...
