2019: All-Liberty League Second Team… Started 31 games as a senior…Team's third-best hitting percentage at .321 and tallied 36 hits…. Also had 18 runs, 19 RBI, eight doubles, one triple and three home runs… Third-best slugging percentage on the team at .495…Recorded 10 multi-hit games… Season-high four hits, three RBI, and two doubles in the win over Plymouth State (3/12).

2018: Junior outfielder dealt with injuries all season...batted .213 in his third year with the Brewers, starting 17 of the 23 games he appeared in...posted four doubles and two homers in 2018...scored nine runs and drove in 11...was 3-for-5 with three RBI, a homer and two runs scored at Moravian...went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a home run against Union College on April 28...chalked up two hits, two RBI, a double and run scored against Old Westbury March 28...went 1-for-3 with a double and two walks at Occidental March 18...scored a run and doubled in game one of a double header with Lehman April 22...was 1-for-2 with a RBI in the Liberty League Tournament contest with RIT May 11. 

2017: Had a breakout season as a sophomore, hitting .337 on the year overall which was second-best on the team...also led the squad in on-base average with a .480 mark, combining for 27 walks and hit by pitches. Smach led the Liberty League in on-base percentage, and tied for the conference lead in HBP's with 11. He also was tenth in Liberty League action in average with a .367 mark, getting on-base 50 percent of the time in conference-only stats...had eight games with two or more hits...was 3-for-3 with a double and triple against Plymouth State March 19...was 2-for-4 with two RBI against Johns Hopkins...was 3-for-3 with a RBI against RPI on April 22...went 2-for-3 with a double and walk in the Liberty League Tournament clincher against St. Lawrence University...walked three times in three plate appearances in the season finale against Clarkson...was six for eight on stolen base attempts. 
 
2016: Batted .206 with seven hits over 18 games, 10 starts... Scored twice... Walked five times... Went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk in his first game against Fitchburg State on 3/12... Went 1-for-3 with a run and a HBP against UW-Stout on 3/19...Went 1-for-4 with a season-high two RBI against St. Lawrence University on 3/26.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a two-sport star for the Hornets of Fayetteville-Manilius...played outfield during baseball... ran the 200 meters and threw shot on the track team...hit .330 as a senior...also a team captain for the baseball team in 2015. 

PERSONAL: Parents Tom and Linda Smach...has one brother, Ryan (21)...economics major.
