2017: The senior reliever saw action in 11 games as a senior, starting once on April 2...posted a 9.31 ERA on the year...had strong outings, as he went 3.2 innings, allowing one hit and fanning three in the season opener against Keene State University...allowed two hits and no runs in earning a win against Cairn University March 15...allowed no runs over three innings, picking up a save against Bard College April 29...worked a scoreless outing against Manhattanville, surrendering just two hits...finished his career at Vassar tied for the fifth most saves in program history, while also appearing in the seventh-most games with 45. 

2016: Liberty League Honorable Mention... Posted a 2-1 record the third-lowest ERA (4.22) over 17 appearances in relief... Picked up two saves as well... Allowed 12 runs (10 earned) on 19 hits with 22 strikeouts over 21.1 innings... Posted the lowest opposing batting average (.229)... Picked up his first win after allowing one run (unearned) on two hits with two strikeouts over 2.1 innings against Clarkson University on 4/10... Notched his second win after tossing two no-hit innings with a season-best five strikeouts against RIT on 4/24... Picked up his first win after tossing an inning of one-hit ball with a strikeout against Bard College on 3/30... Secured his second save after throwing three innings of one-hit ball with two strikouts against RPI on 4/30.

2015: Moved to the mound full time as a sophomore, and did not disappoint as he became one of the go-to options out of the bullpen for Vassar...earned a team-high 14 appearances, all in relief...led the team among qualifying arms in earned run average, chalking up a 3.54 ERA over 20.1 innings of work...allowed just eight earned runs all season...went 1-1 with one save as a sophomore...struck out 14 total batters...second in the Liberty Leauge in appearances...did not allow an earned run over the final seven appearances in 2015...went three scoreless innings at Manhattanville, allowing just two hits. 

2014: Spent most of the season as the Brewer's third catcher, but also devoloped into a option out of the bullpen as well...played in three games as a hitter, getting three at-bats...appeared in three games on the mound...allowed no runs in any of his three outings...first career pitching appearance was at Rochester April 18, as he got the only batter he faced...tossed a perfect inning against Manhattanville, needing just 11 pitches...went two innings against Union College April 26, surrendering just one hit on 19 pitches.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered two years in baseball at Beacon High School (NY) for head coach Robert Atwell…helped team to earn two league titles…earned Poughkeepsie Journal Honorable Mention his senior year…lettered two years in football for head coach Brian Mahon.

PERSONAL: Parents are Robert and Angela Winkelmann...has one sister, Alexia (20)...computer science major…chose Vassar over Skidmore, Clarkson, and SUNY Buffalo.
