Hayden Ehrenfeld (Long Beach, CA).
Ehrenfeld led the way for four Brewers who swam through to Wednesday's final session in the 50-yard freestyle. Ehrenfeld touched out in a new school record time of 21.07, eclipsing the previous mark of 21.30 set by Luc Amodio set in 2013.
Sophomore
Lucas Jauregui (Barrington, RI) also clipped the previous school standard and will swim in the 'B" final Wednesday evening after posting a preliminary time of 21.22 seconds, a season-best mark in the event. First Year
Mike Seaton (Hoboken, NJ) will join Jauregui in the 'B' final after swimming a lifetime best time of 21.62 seconds. Classmate
Eli House (Oneonta, NY) will swim in the 'C' final Wednesday evening after posting a lifetime best swim of 22.41 seconds.
First Years
John Gao (Ann Arbor, MI) and
Logan Seiss (Downingtown, PA) each swam through to Wednesday's final session with lifetime best swims in the 200-yard individual medley. Gao qualified 18
th Wednesday morning with a time of 1:59.78 with Seiss posting the 21
st fastest preliminary time with a mark of 2:01.56.
Vassar saw both of its 400-yard medley relay teams reach the final session on Wednesday. The A squad of Jauregui, Gao, Seaton and Ehrenfeld qualified sixth with a time of 3:30.21. The preliminary mark is just .10 off the school record and eclipses the team's seed time by better than a second.
The B entry of
Andrew Song (Wellesley, MA), House, Seiss and
Jacob Collette (Milford, CT) will compete in the 'B' final after posting a preliminary time of 3:42.94.
Wednesday's final session is scheduled to get underway at 6:00 p.m.
