Schoenegge Posts Top DIII Mile Mark at BU, Dennis Records Top-20 Triple Jump Mark at NYU DIII Invite

Schoenegge runs the 12th fastest mile time in DIII history, Dennis leaps at 11.52 meters to rank 19th in Division III this season

New York, NY - Sophomore Haley Schoenegge recorded a Division III top time in the mile of 4:48.18 at the Valentine Invite at Boston University while junior Jahmilia Dennis posted the 19th best mark nationally in the triple jump at the NYU DIII Invite for the Vassar College Women's Track and Field team on Saturday. Following the weekend, Vassar currently ranks 22nd in Division III along with the milers ranking 10th nationally.

Valentine Invite (Mile)
  • Schoenegge broke her own school record by nine seconds by finishing 73rd overall in a loaded Division I field at the famous Valentine Invite. Schoenegge's mark also ranks as the top mile time record in Division III this season and is the 12th fastest time in Division III history.
  • Sophomore Adelaide Nyhan was victorious in her heat with a new personal-best time of 5:08.24 while classmate Norah Reade was also the winner of her heat with a new career-best mark of 5:07.32.
  • First year Sarah France completed the mile in a career-best time of 5:15.58 along with senior Sophia Henderson racing to a new career-best time of 5:18.31.
NYU DIII Invite

60 Meters
  • Senior Traci Francis scored a 14th place finish in a season-best time of 8.33 followed by first year Lainie D'Auria in 14th in 8.34 and junior Jamie Eu in 16th in a season-best time of 8.36.
  • Senior Lily Falkowski recorded a 29th place finish with a time of 8.62 and first year Mason Wilkins-Lanier scored a top-35 finish in a season-best mark of 8.65.
60 Meter Hurdles
  • Senior Faye Stevens earned a 14th place finish in a season-best mark of 9.76 while junior Freja Niklasson finished in the top-20 with a time of 10.14.
  • First year Elana Pukel crossed the finish line in 21st position in 10.19 followed closely by junior Catherine Peacock in 10.35 for 22nd place.
  • Junior Abbe Colgan tallied a top-40 finish with a time of 12.17.
200 Meters
  • First year Caroline Thelen earned a top-25 finish with a time of 27.95 followed by D'Auria with a personal-best time of 28.05.
  • Eu scored a top-30 finish in 28.10 along with first year Skylar Spiro crossing the finish line in a career-best mark of 28.50.
  • Senior Kali Ringler posted a top-40 finish in 29.06 while Falkowski recorded a time of 29.80.
400 Meters
  • Stevens registered a 10th place finish with a new personal-best mark of 1:02.50 followed by first year Lianna Camille in 11th position in a season-best time of 1:02.74.
  • Spiro also earned a new personal-best time of 1:03.56 for a 16th place finish along with Thelen finishing 22nd in a time of 1:05.34.
  • Junior Maddie Busam finished in the top-30 with a season-best mark of 1:07.24 while senior Laura Wong tallied a top-35 finish in 1:08.59.
800 Meters
  • First year Lizzie Lowe secured an eighth place finish with a time of 2:25.70.
  • Sophomore Cayley Swaim earned a 24th place finish in 2:33.06 followed by first year Hadley Snell in 25th in 2:33.16.
Mile
  • Swaim scored a seventh place finish with a time of 5:28.07 along with Snell finishing ninth overall in 5:33.26.
  • First year Chloe Bibula earned an 11th position finish in 5:35.14 while senior Sophie Farr was 22nd overall with a mark of 5:54.14.
3000 Meters
  • Sophomore Acadia Helfand posted a new personal-best time of 10:39.93 for a second place finish along with Farr finishing 23rd overall in 11:52.67.
4x400 Relay
  • The team of Stevens, Spiro, Lowe and Busam secured a fourth place finish with a time of 4:17.60.
High Jump
  • Stevens scored a top-20 finish with a season-best leap of 1.40 meters.
  • Sophomore Jillian Benfante and Pukel also competed for Vassar.
Long Jump
  • D'Auria finished 19th overall with a mark of 4.61 meters along with junior Sydney Passley-Harris finishing 21st overall with a leap of 4.58 meters.
Shot Put
  • Junior Kolby Davis scored a 21st position finish with a toss of 9.21 meters followed by classmate Sydney Petrie in 23rd with a throw of 9.12 meters.
  • First year Amanda Hanrahan earned a top-25 finish at 9.03 meters along with classmate Meara Morgan earning a top-30 finish with a toss of 8.45 meters.
Triple Jump
  • Dennis recorded the 19th best leap in Division III this season at 11.52 meters for a third place finish.
  • Camille earned a 15th place finish with a distance of 9.80 meters.
Weight Throw
  • Davis secured a 13th place finish with a toss of 11.98 meters along with senior Soleil Yuong scoring a 17th place finish at 11.37 meters.
  • Morgan earned a top-25 finish at 9.56 meters.
