TROY, NY - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced its weekly award winners for the week ending April 27 on Wednesday as Vassar College Baseball first year Will Darrell earned his first Rookie of the Week selection.

Darrell, who was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday for the second time this season, recorded his third victory of the year on the mound as he tossed five no-hit innings in relief in a 9-2 victory over Bard and helped Vassar clinch a spot in the Crossover Divisional Series against Ithaca.

The first year has posted a 3.21 earned run average on the season and is 3-0 on the year with 28 innings pitched. Darrell is limiting opposing hitters to a .168 batting average against and has struck out 30 hitters.

The Brewers will head to Ithaca on Friday for the three-game Crossover Divisional Series for a doubleheader followed by the if necessary game being played on Sunday.
