TROY, NY - The Liberty League announced its weekly awards for the week ending April 14 on Monday afternoon as Vassar College Women's Track and Field first year Haley Schoenegge was named the league's Performer of the Week.

Schoenegge shattered the school record in the 5000-meters with a time of 16:32.59 at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic at or a third place finish among Division I competition and broke the record of Aubree Piepmeier's time of 16:41.93 in 2014. This is the third straight week that the first year has earned a Liberty League weekly honor as Schoenegge was named the Rookie of the Week the last two weeks for the Brewers.

Vassar returns to action this weekend at the Trinity (CT) Invitational on Saturday.
