Troy, NY – Vassar College senior Jay Wong (Hong Kong) has been named the Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week in Men's Tennis it was announced Monday afternoon. Monday's honor is the eighth for the Men's Tennis program to date over the 2023-24 season.
 
Wong led Vassar to a pair of Liberty League road victories over the weekend as the Brewers topped Ithaca 6-3 and RIT 7-2. Playing at the top singles flight in both matches, Wong posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory against the Bombers on Saturday and a 7-6 (10-8) 6-2 triumph at the Tigers on Sunday.
 
Following Sunday's results Wong holds an 8-6 record in singles play with six coming at the first position.
 
Winners of four straight matches, #42 Vassar stands at 10-4 overall on the season and 4-1 in Liberty League play. Next up for the Brewers is a home match against Union on April 20.
