Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team continued a standout performance at the 2024 Liberty League Championships in Friday morning's preliminary session. The 800-yard freestyle 'B' relay team won its heat on Friday and
Alejandra Robins (El Cerrito, CA) qualified second inn the 200-yard butterfly.

Maleigha Vietti (Overland Park, KS),
Alanna Muello (South Windsor, CT),
Lilly Masters (Bloomfield Hills, MI) and
Bella Rippon (Hershey, PA) produced a time of 7:50.60.
The Brewers also had stellar individual swims on Friday morning, led by Robins who posted a time of 2:10.13 in the 200-yard butterfly, the second fastest qualifying time of the event. First Year
Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) also qualified for the Finals in the 200-yard butterfly, swimming the sixth fastest time of 2:13.05.
Senior
Sarah Quintana (Chandler, AZ) swam the third fastest qualifying time in the 100-yard backstroke on Friday, recording a time of 58.56 seconds. Quintana was one of four Brewers to move through to the Finals with Rippon posting a time of 58.95 seconds,
Jolie Walker (Chicago, IL) swimming a time of 59.61 seconds and
Maya Luongo (Katonah, NY) finishing in 1:02.50.
First Year
Anna Little (Irwin, PA) led four Vassar swimmers to qualify for the Finals in the 100-yard breaststroke after posting the eighth quickest qualifying time with a mark of 1:08.23. Fellow First Year
Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) posted a time of 1:09.66,
Frances Pope (Orinda, CA) swam a time of 1:10.67 and
Szofia Lewis (Pittsfield, MA) qualified in a time of 1:12.61.
The Brewers will be back in the pool for the Finals session Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m.
