Ithaca, NY – Following Day One of the 2024 Liberty League Championship, the Vassar College Men's Swimming and Diving team stands seventh after earning 97 points in Wednesday's Final session. The 200-yard medley relay team set a new school record in Wednesday's final, breaking the previous mark it set in the preliminary session.

- The 200-yard medley relay team of Lucas Jauregui (Barrington, RI), Ricky Kurosawa (Las Vegas, NV), Sam Deluca (Mifflinburg, PA) and Hayden Ehrenfeld (Long Beach, CA) finished fourth in the 'A' Final, swimming to a time of 1:33.39. The new time blew past the school mark set earlier Wednesday of 1:35.09 and was good for a fourth-place finish.
- Jauregui closed out a strong first day of events with a 13th place finish swimming in the 'B' Final of the 50-yard freestyle, posting a time of 21.53 seconds.
- Lukas Johnson (Minneapolis, MN) added a 16th place finish in the 'B' Final of the 50-yard freestyle on Wednesday, touching out in a time of 21.99 seconds.
- The 'C' Final featured Ehrenfeld picking up an 18th place finish with a time of 21.74 seconds and Han Ryu (Chantilly, VA) placing 20th in 22.02 seconds.
- In the 200-yard individual medley, a pair of Brewers turned in strong swims on Wednesday in the 'C' Final.
- Rory Stumpf (Potomac, MD) improved a preliminary time of 2:00.54 in the final with a swim of 1:59.38, good for the 22nd position overall.
- Kurosawa closed out a strong day one with a 24th place finish, touching out in the final in 2:01.06 for the Brewers.

- Vassar will be back in the pool on Thursday when it opens Day Two with preliminary swims beginning at 10:00 a.m.
