New London, CT - The Vassar College Women's Cross Country team raced to a program-best fourth place finish out of 24 scoring teams at the NCAA Mideast Regionals at Harkness State Park on Saturday morning. Sophomore
Haley Schoenegge recorded a runner-up individual finish out of 179 total competitiors to lead the way for Vassar as the Brewers improved their finish by three places in the regional meet from a season ago.
Vassar's Top Finishers
- Schoenegge led the way for the Brewers with a time of 20:57.5 for a second place finish followed by sophomore Adelaide Nyhan in 16th position with a career-best time of 21:55.9.
- Senior Anna Kaigle crossed the finish line in 26th position in 22:16.8 while sophomore Norah Reade posted a 30th place finish with a time of 22:25.0.
- Sophomore Acadia Helfand tallied a 40th place finish with a time of 22:41.9 along with senior Noni Pattington crossing the finish line in 50th place in 22:56.4 and sophomore Cayley Swaim closed the Vassar finishers in 74th with a time of 23:34.0
