POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its Division III Academic All-District Teams in track and field and cross country and Vassar College student-athlete
Augusta Stockman was recognized. The senior was named for the first time in her career and advances to the national ballot for the chance to earn Academic All-America honors.
Stockman, from Camden, Maine, holds a 3.92 GPA as a Sociology major and was part of the Liberty League All-Academic teams in both cross country and track and field as the Brewers boasted 21 selections in women's track and field while adding eight from women's cross country.
Stockman finishes her Vassar career as one of the best runners in school history. Stockman is a three-time NCAA Women's Cross Country Qualifier and earned All-Liberty League First Team honors twice. Stockman was also selected to the NCAA Mideast All-Region team in 2022 and ran the third fastest 6K all-time at the Paul Short Invite this season. She also competed in track and field this year and won multiple events in the Mile as well as the 1500-meters and ran in the Penn Relays as one of two Division III student-athletes who competed in the 1500-meters. The senior was honored with the 2023 Matthew Vassar Outstanding Career Award at the Annual Athletic Awards Ceremony held earlier this month.
