TROY, N.Y. - The Liberty League announced its major awards in Women's Swimming and Diving on Monday morning as the Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving coaching staff of head coach
Lisl Prater-Lee, assistant coach
Alex Lee and diving coach
Brian Bolstad were named the Coaching Staff of the Year for the 2022-23 season.
The Brewers achieved their highest finish in program history with a second place finish at the Liberty League Championship in February with 1,277 points, only trailing Ithaca who tallied 1,619 points. Freshman
Addie Wiener was the individual champion in the 500-free and the 1650-free this season at the Championship.Â
Five school records were broken this season as Wiener now holds the 200-free record, freshman
Bella Rippon is the 200-IM record holder and junior
Sarah Quintana broke her own record in the 50-back. Two relays have new records as Quintana, freshman
Abbe Colgan and senior
Lillian Lowenthal and
Abby Whittington hold the 200 Medley Relay record while Wiener, senior
Grace Myers, freshman
Abigail McLaughlin and Quintana are the record holders of the 800-free relay.
The team was named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American tam for the Fall 2022 semester and also had 12 student-athletes on the Liberty League Winter All-Academic Team. Whittington and Lowenthal were both tabbed to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for the 2022-23 season.Â
