TROY, N.Y. - The Liberty League has announced its weekly honor roll for the period ending January 15th and Vassar College Men's Basketball's
Avni Mustafaj along with Women's Basketball
Alex Lee were recognized for their efforts.
Mustafaj was outstanding last week, averaging 15.6 points and 5.0 assists per contest, as the Brewers went 2-1 on the week. He opened the week with 11 points, six boards and a game-best seven assists as Vassar defeated Union 70-52 on the road. Mustafaj then dropped in a team-high 19 points with six assists and six boards in a tough 78-77 overtime loss to Skidmore. He closed out the week with 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor with a rebound and two assists as the Brewers came-from-behind to defeat RIT, 69-65.
Lee helped pace the Brewers to a 2-1 week, leading the team in scoring in nearly every contest. In a 44-38 win at Union, she posted 13 points with nine rebounds and a steal. Lee then dropped in 13 points with three caroms in a tough 60-52 loss to Skidmore. She closed out the week with eight points and three rebounds as Vassar defeated RIT, 71-50.
The women's and men's basketball teams returns to action on Friday when it plays host to RPI with the women's game starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m. against the Engineers.
