POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - It was a great day for a dual match as Vassar women's golf hosted Mount Saint Mary College in action at Casperkill Golf Club to close out its fall season. The Brewers posted a combined score of 399 in the 18-hole event on Sunday. The Knights combined for a score of 528 on the day.
Leading the Brewers was junior
Sufana Noorwez, who posted a score of 72 on the day to lead the field. That included a combined 33 on the back nine at Casperkill. Rookie
Peiyun Wu recorded a score of 99 on the afternoon, also producing a solid mark of 48 on the back nine - taking second overall.
Rookie
Mackenzie Shultz was fourth overall notched a score of 106 for the Brewers, while sophomore
Victoria Barrios Cabral posted a 122 on the day to place fifth.
For Mount Saint Mary, senior Abigail Solfaro shot a 103 to earn third on the day, while rookie Jessica Sorbellini had a score of 126 for sixth overall.
Knights junior Ella Garner was seventh overall with a score of 145, while rookie Amanda Leslie was eighth on the day with a score of 154.
Vassar is now idle until the spring season.
