POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Liberty League announced its first weekly awards for the fall season, and Vassar men's cross country senior Reed Dolan (Ipswich, MA) was named Performer of the Week. In addition, senior Sasha Allison (Bloomington, IN) was selected to the honor roll.
Dolan won the Vassar Season Starter on Sept. 1 after placing first overall with a time of 12.52.0 in the 4,000-meter course. The Brewers went on to win the meet, and in total, Vassar claimed eight of the top ten places.
On the women's side, Allison claimed first overall in the 3,000-meter race by running a time of 11:42.6 at the Vassar Farm. Allison beat the second-place runner by three seconds as the Brewers took the team title.
Both the men's and women's teams return to action on Sat. Sept. 11 for the Ron Stonitsch Invitational held at the Vassar Farm. The men race at 10 a.m., and the women start at 10:45 a.m.
