Winnie Yeates earned weekly recognition from the Liberty League, by being named the Performer of the Week and Rookie of the Week as made in an announcement by League Commissioner, Tracy King on Monday afternoon.
Women's Tennis - Sophomore Ava Sadeghi - Performer of the Week
Sadeghi had a perfect, 4-0 weekend in singles during the annual Seven Sisters Championships. She did not give up a single game on Saturday against Bryn Mawr or Smith. Sadeghi defeated Mount Holyoke's Nahrhee Han, 3-6, 6-0, 6-0 on Sunday. She then defeated Northeast Regionally Ranked Wellesley College's Diana Granger, 6-2, 6-3. She was named to the All-Tournament Team along with sophomore Sam Schapiro and freshman
Winnie Yeates as Vassar went on to win the Championships.
Women's Tennis - Freshman Winnie Yeates - Rookie of the Week
Yeates only gave up two games in her first three matches in singles this weekend during the Seven Sisters Championships. She picked up the Championship-clinching victory over Catherine Matalis of Northeast Regionally Ranked #13 Wellesley College. She won the match, 6-2, 6-3.
